Republica Press is currently accepting submissions from new authors.

We are looking for well-written, plot driven, erotic works between 20,000 and 100,000 words in all genres from romantic to raunchy.

We don’t accept stories containing the following:

• Minors in sexual situations (characters under the age of 18)
• Animals in sexual situations (fantasy characters not included)
• Dead people in sexual situations (vampires not included)
• Incestuous relationships (including step-parents/kids/siblings)

• Times New Roman in 12-point font
• Double-spaced, left-justified, and paginated with standard margins (1 inch or 2.5 cm on all four sides)
• No extra paragraph returns (lines) between paragraphs
• Indent the first line of each paragraph .2 inches or .5 cm (5 spaces)
• All punctuation should be followed by ONE space.
• Periods and commas must precede closing quotation marks
• Close spaces around em dashes. Use the symbol for em dashes not hyphens (—)
• Open spaces around ellipsis points
• Indicate scene breaks with four asterisks (* * * * )
• Use curly quotation and apostrophe marks
• Uppercase “Chapter” and spell out the number: Chapter One
• Down style (no capital letters) is preferred for all nouns and adjectives that are not proper: the king
• American, Canadian or British spelling will be accepted, but it must stay consistent throughout the manuscript.
• Republica Press uses The Chicago Manual of Style 15th Edition as its primary reference guide.

• The body of your email needs to include the following information:
  • Name (real or pen)
  • Email address
  • Title of Work
  • Word Count
  • Genre(s)
  • Warnings (if containing anything other than straight vanilla sex)
  • Short synopsis of story (less than 250 words is preferred)
